High Dose Vitamin C Infusion
Vitamin C is a strong anti-oxidant that can be used IV to support the immune system, as well as help in healing and recovery from infection and inflammation. Some studies suggest improvement in quality of life in patients with certain cancers. In a study of healthy volunteers and people with cancer, vitamin C was shown to be safe in people who do not have kidney stones, other kidney diseases, or G6PD deficiency. Vitamin C's role in cancer treatment has been debated, with small clinical trials showing some responses but lacking clear explanations for why vitamin C affects cancers or which patients benefit most. Recent preclinical studies, however, suggest high-dose vitamin C could benefit cancer patients, providing a clearer rationale and potential biomarkers for personalized treatment. At Ascend, we will review your history and propose combinations strategically to evaluate interactions with patient's medications.
